About the Role
The Senior Associate, Portfolio Operations, plays a pivotal role in LLR Partners' Value Creation Team, serving as an operator-in-residence for a portfolio of companies. This role is not just about oversight but about embedding oneself within the operational fabric of these companies to drive performance and growth. The Senior Associate will work closely with management teams, providing strategic guidance, operational support, and ensuring alignment with LLR's investment thesis. Given the remote nature of this role, the ability to communicate effectively and manage relationships across different time zones and cultures is crucial.The day-to-day entails a deep dive into the operational and financial aspects of portfolio companies, identifying areas for improvement, and developing tailored value creation plans. This is a hands-on position that requires the ability to shift seamlessly between strategic thought leadership and tactical problem-solving. The Senior Associate will also serve as a liaison between the Investment Team, portfolio company management, and the Value Creation Team, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and working towards common goals.

What You Will Do
- Develop and execute value creation plans for portfolio companies, ensuring alignment with LLR's investment strategy.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to portfolio company management teams, providing operational and strategic guidance.
- Collaborate with the Investment Team and Value Creation Team to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of portfolio companies, flagging issues early and proposing solutions.
- Liaise between LLR's Investment Team, portfolio company management, and the Value Creation Team to ensure coordination and clarity of expectations.
- Contribute to Investment Committee materials, portfolio reviews, and other reporting to ensure stakeholders are informed.
- Identify and engage external resources and vendors to support value creation initiatives.
- Develop and maintain real-time operational dashboards to track key metrics and KPIs for portfolio companies.
- Work with management teams to drive accountability and ensure progress on value creation initiatives.
- Support the development of functional playbooks and ensure their execution across portfolio companies.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
- 4-8+ years of experience in financial, operating, consulting, or strategic roles, with a focus on driving performance and growth.
- Strong financial acumen, data literacy, and analytical skills, with the ability to apply these in real-world scenarios.
- Experience in working directly with early-stage technology companies or in an operating role at a PE firm is highly valued.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex operational issues and develop effective solutions.
- Leadership skills, with experience in managing projects, teams, or initiatives that drive strategic growth.
- Ability to build trust and credibility with CEOs, Investment Team partners, and other stakeholders.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
