About the Role
The Senior Azure Data Engineer will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale data systems for a global organization. As a key member of the data team, you will collaborate with stakeholders to identify business requirements, develop data solutions, and ensure seamless data delivery. With a focus on scalability, optimization, and automation, you will drive the development of analytical tools and data pipelines, providing actionable insights to inform key business decisions.The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in Azure Data Factory, Storage, and Data Warehouse, as well as experience with database architecture, testing methodologies, and Azure Synapse analytics. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with remote teams are essential.
What You Will Do
- Collect and analyze large, complex datasets to meet business requirements
- Design and implement internal process improvements, including infrastructure re-design and automation
- Build and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and SQL technologies
- Develop analytical tools to provide insights into key business performance metrics
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design, develop, and deploy data solutions
- Work with cloud infrastructure teams, data teams, and information management officers to ensure seamless data delivery
- Optimize data storage and processing to improve scalability and efficiency
- Develop and execute test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools
- Ensure data quality and integrity, adhering to governance and compliance standards
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's or University degree in a relevant field
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Azure Data Factory and data pipeline architecture
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Azure Storage, Data Lake, and Data Warehouse
- Minimum 2 years of experience with database architecture, testing methodologies, and Azure Synapse analytics
- Excellent knowledge of English, both written and verbal
- Experience with Azure DevOps and Azure Purview is desirable
- Strong understanding of data pipeline architecture and data warehousing principles
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Nice to Have
- Experience with data visualization tools and techniques
- Knowledge of machine learning and AI concepts
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies
- Certification in Azure Data Engineer or related field
