About the Role
Axcera is seeking a highly experienced Senior Back-End Software Engineer to join their team, with a focus on designing and developing scalable, secure, and efficient systems. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in contributing to architectural decisions, ensuring high standards in performance, scalability, and security. You will work extensively with third-party integrations and external APIs, ensuring seamless connectivity across systems. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and be comfortable working across a diverse tech stack.The role will involve collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers, to deliver scalable solutions that meet the evolving needs of Axcera's users. You will be expected to work independently to solve complex problems, implement features with high quality and reliability, and promote high standards in code quality, CI/CD, and deployment processes.

What You Will Do
- Design, develop, and maintain complex back-end systems
- Build and maintain secure, scalable integrations with third-party services and external APIs
- Contribute to AI-related initiatives, including integrating AI services and supporting data-driven features
- Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decision-making
- Work independently to solve complex problems and implement features with high quality and reliability
- Collaborate closely with product managers and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions
- Implement and follow DevOps best practices, managing AWS infrastructure and services
- Promote high standards in code quality, CI/CD, and deployment processes
- Utilise Docker and similar containerisation tools to streamline development and deployment
- Monitor and analyse system performance using tools such as Datadog, proactively identifying areas for improvement
What We Are Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in software development, with at least 4 years focused on back-end development
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with a high level of ownership
- Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating effectively with remote teams
- Strong expertise in multiple programming languages, including Java, Node.js, C++, and TypeScript
- Solid understanding of DevOps practices and AWS services, including deployment, monitoring, and scaling
- Extensive experience with Docker and containerisation tools
- Familiarity with logging and analytics tools such as Datadog
- Advanced knowledge of JavaScript and experience contributing to full-stack solutions
- Experience working with Excel
Nice to Have
- Experience in the trading or financial services industry
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks and how they interact with back-end systems
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
