About the Role

What You Will Do

  • Design and implement scalable backend systems for HyperDX, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability
  • Collaborate with the development team to craft an amazing developer experience
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
  • Develop and maintain large-scale data pipelines and architectures
  • Ensure the highest levels of data quality and integrity
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the codebase
  • Collaborate with the QA team to identify and resolve issues
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in backend engineering and observability
  • Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for backend engineering

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in backend engineering, with a focus on scalable systems and high-performance architectures
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies, including AWS or GCP
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns
  • Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Strong understanding of database systems, including relational and NoSQL databases
  • Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or New Relic
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team

Nice to Have

  • Experience with machine learning or artificial intelligence
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git
