About the Role
As a Senior Backend Engineer at Gitlab, you will be instrumental in developing the foundation for Gitlab.com's horizontal scaling through the Cells architecture. Your primary focus areas will include edge routing services and the Topology Service, ensuring reliable, low-latency routing and enabling Cell-aware feature development.Responsibilities
- Building and operating routing services that direct requests to the correct Cell using cluster topology data
- Developing and maintaining systems for storing, updating, and serving cluster topology information
Requirements
Proficiency in Ruby and/or Go, experience with scalable infrastructure development, and strong understanding of routing services and topology management.How to Stand Out
