About the Role
As a Senior Backend Engineer on the Plan: Knowledge group, you will contribute to the development of backend systems for Wiki, Pages, Markdown, and text editors in GitLab. You will also be involved in designing AI-powered capabilities, including the planner agent and Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations.Responsibilities
- Build and improve Ruby on Rails systems behind GitLab's planning experience
- Collaborate with frontend engineers, Product, UX, and Security teams to create reliable, scalable systems
- Use the Duo Agent Platform and GraphQL APIs to integrate with external tools
