About the Role
The Senior Business Development Director is a key role at Ergomed, responsible for driving sales and strategy in the US. As a seasoned professional, you will initiate, coordinate, and develop strategic plans and sales strategies within a specified territory or accounts. Your expertise will be crucial in expanding existing accounts and identifying new markets, as well as researching new business opportunities.The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team, working closely with operations to deliver high-quality services to clients. You will be responsible for preparing and organizing sponsor presentations, facilitating team preparedness for client meetings, and coordinating budget and contract negotiations. Your strong negotiation and analytical skills will be essential in securing profitable service contracts.

What You Will Do
- Initiate, coordinate, and develop strategic plans and sales strategies within a specified territory or accounts
- Develop account strategies and implementation plans, and expand existing accounts
- Identify new markets and research new business opportunities
- Collect critical information for proposal preparation and provide detailed input and leadership of the proposal process
- Prepare and organize sponsor presentations
- Facilitate the preparedness of the team in attending client meetings, such as Capabilities meetings or Bid Defence Meetings (BDM)
- Coordinate and monitor budget or contract negotiations, post-award of any work
- Interact with operations, keeping track of study status for projects with sponsors
- Establish and maintain regular contact and an excellent rapport with future and current clients
- Monitor and track competitor CRO activities
- Plan and attend major industrial events and tradeshows
What We Are Looking For
- Considerable CRO sales experience with strong negotiation and analytical skills
- An established network of decision-makers within Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology companies
- A proven track record of identifying and securing profitable service contracts
- Awareness of trends and government policies and regulations in the clinical trials area
- Excellent communication skills and team leadership capabilities
- Strong and effective presentation skills
- Excellent organizational, planning, and multitasking skills
- Ability to travel according to the needs of the business development strategy
- Strong proficiency in Excel
Nice to Have
- Experience working in Oncology and Rare Disease
- Knowledge of clinical trials and the CRO industry
- Certification in sales or business development
