About the Role
The Senior Business Development Manager role at Teya is a critical position that requires a unique blend of sales, coaching, and leadership skills. As a key member of the commercial team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, building strong relationships with customers, and embodying the company's values. You will work closely with the sales team to identify new business opportunities, develop and execute sales strategies, and provide valuable insights to improve product offerings and sales processes.The role entails a high level of autonomy, with a focus on proactive customer identification, relationship-building, and sales closure. You will be expected to work independently, managing your time and resources effectively to achieve sales targets and grow the customer base. As a senior member of the team, you will also be responsible for mentoring and coaching junior sales professionals, sharing best practices, and contributing to the development of the sales team.

What You Will Do
- Proactively identify potential customers within your defined territory through cold outreach, networking, and referrals
- Engage with existing and potential customers in-person to understand their challenges, establish rapport, and build trust
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies to win new business and consistently exceed revenue targets
- Provide valuable insights and feedback from the field to help improve product offerings and sales processes
- Represent Teya as the go-to person in your territory, embodying the company's values and vision
- Nurture long-term customer relationships by identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling Teya solutions
- Support the onboarding and training of new joiners, sharing best practices and coaching them towards success
- Step in to assist the Sales Manager with routine management tasks when required, ensuring smooth operations and team alignment
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to maintain a competitive edge
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Teya's products and services, becoming a trusted advisor to customers
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in a customer-facing or sales-related role
- Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth
- Experience coaching or mentoring colleagues, with the ability to inspire and develop others
- Good organisation and time management skills
- Strong negotiation and objection-handling capabilities
- Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive self-starter with the ambition to progress into leadership
- Fluency in English
- A full UK driver's license
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Experience in the fintech or payments industry
- Knowledge of Adjust or other sales enablement tools
- Certification in sales or marketing
- Experience with CRM software
