About the Role
The Senior Business Development Specialist plays a critical role in driving sales growth at Connection, a leading IT solutions provider. This role involves working closely with account managers and sales teams to identify and capitalize on new sales opportunities. What You Will Do
- Develop and execute strategic plans to increase market share and penetrate new accounts
- Collaborate with account managers and sales teams to identify and capitalize on new sales opportunities
- Work closely with vendors and partners to develop and implement joint sales strategies
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the IT industry and emerging trends
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging industry knowledge and relationships
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at target accounts
- Develop and deliver sales presentations and proposals to customers and vendors
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and emerging trends, applying this knowledge to drive sales growth
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement sales enablement tools and training
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in the IT industry
- Strong understanding of the IT industry, including emerging trends and technologies
- Proven track record of driving sales growth and penetrating new accounts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and vendors
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data to drive sales growth
- Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and other sales tools and technologies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines
- Strong business development and sales skills, with the ability to develop and execute strategic plans
Nice to Have
- Experience working with vendors and partners to develop and implement joint sales strategies
- Knowledge of sales enablement tools and technologies, such as CRM and sales automation platforms
- Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment
- Certification in sales or business development, such as CSP or CSO
