## About the Role The Senior Claims Specialist plays a pivotal role within Liberty Mutual's Claims Team, utilizing the latest technology to review, analyze, and process moderately complex to complex claims. This involves making strategic decisions regarding liability, compensability, and negotiating settlements, all while managing a diverse inventory of commercial property/casualty claims. ## What You Will Do - Conduct comprehensive investigations of claims, including interviewing insureds, witnesses, and claimants.

  • Collect and evaluate appropriate documentation to analyze coverage and determine liability, compensability, and damages.
  • Engage independent adjusters, cause and origin experts, and independent medical examiners as necessary.
  • Assess policy coverage for submitted claims and notify insureds of any issues.
  • Determine and establish reserve requirements, adjusting reserves as necessary during claim processing.
  • Negotiate settlements within assigned authority limits.
  • Coordinate litigation activities for assigned claims to ensure timely and cost-effective resolutions.
  • Attend trials as a representative of the company.
  • Act as a senior technical professional on the team, assisting with escalated issues and mentoring new team members.
  • Participate in quality review processes to ensure high standards of claim handling.
  • Conduct suit committees, roundtables, arbitrations, mediations, and field investigations as required.
