About the Role
As a Senior Cloud Engineer at Zencore, you will be working with fast-paced innovative companies, leveraging Cloud as the key driver of their transformation. You will be responsible for providing strategic guidance, facilitating technology decisions, and executing projects in a collaborative, co-development style. Your expertise in Google Cloud will be crucial in helping customers transition to the cloud and modernize their applications.The Cloud Engineering team at Zencore is composed of experienced engineers who are passionate about cloud technology and dedicated to delivering exceptional results. What You Will Do
- Provide strategic guidance to customers on their cloud migration journey
- Facilitate technology decisions and execute projects in a collaborative, co-development style
- Work with customers to identify and prioritize their cloud migration objectives
- Design and implement cloud architectures that meet customers' requirements
- Develop and deploy applications on Google Cloud Platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to cloud migration
- Develop and maintain documentation of cloud architectures and applications
- Participate in knowledge-sharing activities to improve the team's expertise
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of experience working with a major public cloud platform, preferably Google Cloud
- Hands-on experience with common DevOps tools and practices
- Excellent technical skills in at least one of the following areas: Linux system administration, networking, MySQL or other database administration
- Experience working with traditional data center environments and technologies, such as VMware, physical servers, storage arrays, networks, and firewalls
- Experience migrating applications from a data center environment to a public cloud
- Ability to write scripts and automation in at least one language
- Conversational proficiency in English
- Experience with Google Cloud, Hashicorp portfolio, Kubernetes, and other cloud-related technologies
Nice to Have
- Experience with containerization and serverless platforms
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and cloud networking
- Familiarity with data analytics and machine learning on Google Cloud
- Experience working in a fully remote environment
- Certification in Google Cloud or other cloud-related technologies
