Job Description
About the Role
As a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect at CDW, you will play a critical role in driving the company's cloud computing strategy and delivering innovative solutions to clients. You will work closely with the Mission Cloud team to develop and implement cloud-based solutions, with a focus on AWS Workspaces and VDI. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping clients navigate the complexities of cloud migration and optimization.The role involves working with multiple clients simultaneously, understanding their business and technical needs, and developing strategic roadmaps to meet their goals. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project management and cloud engineering, to ensure seamless execution of projects. Your strong consulting skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders will be essential in this role.
What You Will Do
- Consult with clients to understand their business and technical requirements
- Develop strategic roadmaps and project plans to meet client goals
- Collaborate with project managers to set expectations, drive alignment, and coordinate timelines
- Provide guidance to cloud engineers on implementing client roadmaps
- Quality check engineering work to ensure top-notch quality and customer satisfaction
- Support presales cloud solutions architects in proposal design and positioning
- Mentor cloud engineers to help them grow in their roles
- Translate technical requirements into LOE estimates, design documents, and project tracking boards
- Present recommendations to clients, including senior leadership
- Work with clients to set expectations, drive alignment, and coordinate timelines
What We Are Looking For
- Experience working in a customer-facing consulting role, preferably in cloud computing
- Strong knowledge of AWS Workspaces and VDI, including design, deployment, and management
- Ability to lead customer-facing projects, assign work to teams, and quality check engineering work
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and remediate user experience issues
- Experience with networking for end-user computing, including bandwidth planning, latency/RTT targets, and client connectivity considerations
- Knowledge of Active Directory integration and SSO standards for VDI environments
- Experience with application management and virtualization, including Intune, SCCM, and app streaming
Nice to Have
- Experience with automation and scripting, using tools like CLS/SDK/PowerShell
- Knowledge of OS hardening, application packaging, and performance optimization
- Experience with certificate-based or passwordless authentication
- Familiarity with cloud security and compliance frameworks, such as HIPAA and PCI-DSS
