About the Role

The Senior CMS Developer position at Lil Horse Lab is a pivotal role that involves leading the development and customization of WordPress and Shopify themes for various clients. This includes modifying and creating PHP-based templates, utilizing CSS frameworks like Bootstrap, and effectively using JavaScript libraries such as jQuery. What You Will Do

  • Develop and customize WordPress and Shopify themes using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Modify and create PHP-based templates for custom themes.
  • Utilize CSS frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap) and JavaScript libraries (e.g., jQuery) effectively.
  • Work with Elementor for layout design.
  • Develop and customize plugins to meet specific client requirements.
  • Utilize WordPress and WooCommerce hooks and filters for customization.
  • Manage and optimize databases, particularly MySQL, to enhance website performance.
  • Implement security practices to protect WordPress sites from common threats such as XSS, CSRF, and SQL injection.
  • Use security plugins and server configurations to secure websites.
  • Optimize website performance through caching, image optimization, and file minimization.
  • Utilize performance testing tools (e.g., GTmetrix, PageSpeed Insights) to ensure optimal site speed.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and work with WordPress REST API.
  • Implement SEO best practices in website development and maintenance.
  • Use SEO plugins and techniques to enhance website visibility.
  • Manage server configurations, including Cpanel, email accounts, and SSL certificates.
  • Handle Google Workspace management and have knowledge of HubSpot.
