About the Role

As a Senior Commercial Account Executive at Gitlab, you will be the primary connection between the company and customers in the CIS region. Your role will involve selling and expanding the adoption of Gitlab's AI-powered DevSecOps platform to organizations with up to 4,000 team members. You will report to an Area Sales Manager and work closely with business development, marketing, and technical teams to drive customer success and revenue growth.

The CIS region is a key market for Gitlab, with a growing demand for DevSecOps solutions. As a Senior Commercial Account Executive, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building trusted relationships with customers, and delivering meaningful business outcomes. Your success will be measured by your ability to drive revenue growth, expand existing accounts, and contribute to the development of Gitlab's sales strategy.

What You Will Do

  • Own a broad book of business across the CIS region, managing a portfolio of new and existing accounts
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and customer acquisition
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business development, marketing, and technical teams, to drive customer success and revenue growth
  • Analyze wins and losses, contributing to root cause analyses and sharing lessons learned with the sales team
  • Document and maintain accurate buying criteria, buying processes, and pipeline data to ensure a reliable and evidence-based sales forecast
  • Provide account leadership and direction, partnering closely with technical teams and customer success to drive customer outcomes
  • Represent the voice of the customer, contributing product feedback and ideas to Gitlab's public issue tracker
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the CIS region's market dynamics, including industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape
  • Stay up-to-date with Gitlab's products and services, including new features and releases

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven experience in software sales, ideally in a mid-market or enterprise context
  • Strong understanding of the DevSecOps market and trends
  • Ability to guide customers through complex buying journeys, from discovery to close
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and drive insights
  • Experience working with AI-powered sales tools and platforms
  • Fluency in Russian, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong sense of urgency and adaptability
