Job Description
About the Role
As a Senior Commercial Account Executive at Gitlab, you will be the primary point of contact for customers in the CIS region, responsible for driving the adoption and expansion of Gitlab's DevSecOps platform. You will own a broad book of business, managing a wide range of opportunity sizes, from small, fast-growing teams to more complex projects. Your role will involve guiding customers through the full buying journey, from discovery to close, and providing ongoing support to ensure their success with the platform.The CIS region is a key market for Gitlab, with a growing demand for DevSecOps solutions. As an Account Executive, you will be expected to develop a deep understanding of the local market, including the competitive landscape, customer needs, and industry trends. You will work closely with the sales, marketing, and technical teams to develop and execute strategies that drive growth and customer satisfaction in the region.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualifying leads to negotiating and closing deals. You will also be responsible for documenting and maintaining accurate sales records, including customer interactions, sales pipeline, and forecasting data.
What You Will Do
- Manage a broad book of business, including new prospects and existing accounts in the CIS region
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive growth and customer satisfaction in the region
- Guide customers through the full buying journey, from discovery to close
- Provide ongoing support to ensure customer success with the platform
- Document and maintain accurate sales records, including customer interactions, sales pipeline, and forecasting data
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and technical teams to develop and execute strategies that drive growth and customer satisfaction
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
- Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at customer accounts
- Negotiate and close deals, ensuring that customer needs are met and sales targets are achieved
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience in software sales, ideally in a mid-market or enterprise context
- Ability to guide customers through the full buying journey, from discovery to close
- Strong understanding of the DevSecOps landscape and the CIS region market
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze sales data and market trends
- Fluency in Russian, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel to customer sites and industry events, as required
