About the Role
Recharge is on a mission to build the future of commerce around customer retention, and as a Senior Commercial Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in this endeavor. You will be part of the in-house legal team, reporting to the Vice President & General Counsel, and will be primarily responsible for supporting the Sales, Strategic Partnerships, Procurement, Marketing, and Customer Success organizations. Your focus will be on commercial contract negotiation and providing business-first legal advice, ensuring that Recharge maintains its position as a leader in the subscription platform market.The right candidate will be comfortable working with cross-functional teams and managing a wide range of projects simultaneously. What You Will Do
- Partner with various stakeholders to drive business outcomes and provide legal support and advice on commercial agreements.
- Participate in end-to-end contract support, including advising, drafting, negotiating, and readying for execution.
- Assist in the operation and development of policies and procedures for the company.
- Contribute to problem resolution by identifying, addressing, and escalating issues as they arise.
- Work cross-functionally on legal matters to support business development and innovation.
- Provide clear and pragmatic legal advice to non-lawyers on commercial matters.

- Collaborate with the Sales team to negotiate and finalize contracts.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Recharge's business and legal needs.
What We Are Looking For
- JD from an ABA-accredited U.S. law school with strong academic credentials.
- Active member of a recognized state bar in the United States.
- 7+ years of relevant experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department.
- Excellent negotiating and drafting skills on financial/commercial transactions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with various levels of staff and management.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented and driven to do things right.
- Self-motivated with a passion for taking ownership of your work and delivering outcomes.
