## About the Role Intercom, the AI Customer Service company, is on a mission to help businesses deliver incredible customer experiences. The Senior Community Events Marketing Manager will be at the heart of Intercom's community marketing strategy, focusing on building in-person communities around AI Agents. This role requires a strong passion for building communities and brands, with a focus on educating the market about AI Agents and accelerating their adoption.
As a key member of the marketing team, the successful candidate will partner with R&D, marketing, technical partners, and customers to plan, promote, and deliver regular meetups and events in the US. This is a brand new role, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact from the outset.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the AI market and the topics customer service and product leaders are interested in, as well as experience with Salesforce, Marketo, and Intercom. With a strong track record of organizing and executing events with high attention to detail, this candidate will be a generalist who is willing to apply themselves to any area to ensure success.
## What You Will Do - Own Fin Meetups and events that support Intercom's Community strategy - Identify opportunities to connect in-person events with Intercom's online Community strategy - Manage all aspects of event management, including partner coordination, venue selection, AV production, signage, logistics, onsite requirements, vendors, and budget - Collaborate with marketing teams to leverage other assets for events - Develop brand-focused metrics to demonstrate the impact of events - Evaluate new opportunities, such as a community-hosted meetup program and Fin Meetups at external events - Partner with R&D to stay updated on the latest developments in AI Agents and customer service - Work closely with the customer success team to ensure alignment with customer needs and expectations - Manage and analyze event feedback to continuously improve the community marketing strategy
## What We Are Looking For - 5+ years of events marketing experience at a technology company, preferably in a community-oriented role - Independent project driver with high attention to detail and strong organizational skills - A generalist who is willing to apply themselves to any area to ensure success - AI-first marketer with experience using AI to evolve their function - Strong stakeholder management skills, comfortable setting expectations and keeping teams on track - Clear and proactive communicator who can concisely craft messages to internal and external stakeholders - Understanding of brand awareness metrics and the ability to demonstrate the impact of events - Experience with Salesforce, Marketo, and Intercom is a bonus - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities - Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze event data and feedback
## Nice to Have - Experience with community marketing and building in-person communities - Knowledge of the latest trends and technologies in AI and customer service - Experience with event management software and tools - Certification in event marketing or a related field - Experience working with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, and customer success
