About the Role
The Senior Compensation Design Specialist role at DoorDash is a critical component of the company's Total Rewards function, responsible for designing and managing global compensation programs. As a key member of the Compensation team, you will be instrumental in merging three different international company job architectures into a unified DoorDash framework. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the company's global integration efforts and help build a seamless experience for leaders and employees.The Compensation team at DoorDash is focused on running cycles, designing job architecture, and building global ranges. As a Senior Compensation Design Specialist, you will be responsible for helping to develop and maintain DoorDash's compensation infrastructure as the business scales. This includes designing and implementing automated cycles, managing job architecture, and building out global ranges.
What You Will Do
- Contribute to the merger of three international company job architectures into a unified DoorDash framework
- Design and maintain job architecture and global ranges
- Develop and run compensation cycles with a heavy focus on tooling and automation
- Administer total pay programs, including base salary and equity
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners, recruiters, and Finance to manage global compensation matters
- Use data analysis to make informed decisions on compensation program design and structure
- Present findings to diverse audiences, including leadership and employees
- Partner with stakeholders to develop and communicate total pay programs
- Manage global compensation matters, including offers, promotions, and budgeting
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in compensation design
What We Are Looking For
- 8+ years of compensation experience in either a consulting or in-house role
- Global compensation expertise, with a background in international pay structures
- Experience with job architecture design and maintenance
- Strong data analysis and storytelling skills
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- First principles mentality, with the ability to break down complex problems to their core truths
- Bachelor's degree in economics, business, finance, or another STEM discipline
- Experience with Workday and program management (preferred)
- Tech-savvy, with the ability to learn new tools and systems quickly
Nice to Have
- Experience with cycle management and automation
- Knowledge of equity programs and total pay design
- Familiarity with global compensation trends and best practices
- Certification in compensation or a related field
