About the Role

The Senior Consultant, Healthcare Informatics role at Segal Co. is a unique opportunity for experienced professionals to join a dynamic team focused on delivering cutting-edge healthcare data solutions. This role involves working closely with clients to design, develop, and implement scalable healthcare data solutions that drive informed decision-making. As part of the Health Consulting & Analytics team, you will be contributing to the evolution of healthcare data informatics, leveraging your expertise to analyze complex healthcare data sets and develop actionable insights.

What You Will Do

  • Design and deliver scalable healthcare data solutions for clients, focusing on data quality, integrity, and compliance.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of healthcare data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform client decisions.
  • Develop and maintain databases, ensuring they are optimized for performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their data needs and develop tailored solutions.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in healthcare informatics, incorporating new technologies and methodologies into your work.
  • Develop and implement data visualization tools to present complex data insights to clients.
  • Work closely with the development team to integrate data solutions with existing systems.
  • Participate in project planning, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery of solutions.
  • Provide training and support to clients on the use of healthcare data solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of proposals and presentations for new business opportunities.

What We Are Looking For

  • At least 9 years of experience in health and welfare or managed care, with a strong background in consulting or professional services.
  • Expertise in healthcare claims, pharmaceuticals, and clinical care regimes, as well as health and welfare plans and managed care arrangements.
  • Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to design and optimize databases for complex healthcare data sets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or similar platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related science, with a graduate degree in healthcare informatics, public health, actuarial sciences, statistics, or a related science highly preferred.

  • Familiarity with Python and experience in programming large-scale data solutions.
  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and their application in healthcare data analysis.
