About the Role

The Senior Consulting Engineer position at ClickHouse is a unique blend of technical expertise and customer-facing skills. As a key member of the Support Services team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to ClickHouse's global customer base. The Senior Consulting Engineer will work closely with a set of strategic customers, providing guidance, case answers, and technical oversight. This will involve serving as a team member on customer projects, focusing on design, architecture, integration, implementation, and documentation. Additionally, you will be assisting with support cases for customers in our Support L1 to L3 tiers, particularly when not assigned to larger projects.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as a team member on customer projects, focusing on design, architecture, integration, implementation, and documentation
  • Provide case-initiated consultative support to strategic users, customers, and prospects, assisting with implementation, onboarding, production launches, and Proof of Concepts (POCs)
  • Provide architectural, technical, and migration assistance, including hands-on tasks
  • Work as a member of the Support Team, handling L1 to L3 cases and communications when not actively assigned to customer projects
  • Partner closely with ClickHouse Product Management, Engineering, and Sales to contribute to the product roadmap and account plans
  • Develop and assist with a wide range of content, including Public and Internal Documentation, Knowledge Base articles, ClickHouse Learning, Reference Architecture, blogs, and benchmark results
  • Assist with hiring and mentoring new team members as we grow and scale
  • Be available for scheduling and on-call needs to deliver high-quality 24x7 support in a global, distributed environment

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven experience in a similar consulting engineering role, preferably in the field of real-time analytics, data warehousing, or related technologies
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Adjust and Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and internal teams
  • Experience working with global customers and providing high-tier support
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop creative solutions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong documentation and content creation skills
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies and distributed systems
