What You Will Do
- Actively participate in the tender and bid process, from initial documentation to analysis and reporting
- Manage the change management process, identifying, analyzing, and implementing changes that affect project costs
- Analyze tenders and bids to ensure that clients receive the best value for their money
- Assist in the preparation and agreement of final accounts, including the handling of any claims
- Create estimates and cost plans for key client developments
- Oversee project spend, creating valuations and cost reports, and clearly communicating variations to your team
- Support nimble project management and clear decisions through excellent cost documentation and timely communication
- Support the settlement of construction disputes and loss and expense claims with transparency
- Foster top performance and growth for your employees via excellent mentorship and leadership
- Contribute to the company's business strategy and help drive growth and innovation
What We Are Looking For
- Experience as a senior cost manager, ideally from a consultancy background
- Experience in pre-contract cost management, budget control, and cost planning
- Knowledge of alternative construction materials and techniques
- Chartered or working towards a chartered status
- Degree or comparable experience in a project management or construction discipline
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage your own priorities and deadlines
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Experience working with diverse teams and clients
