About the Role
Coinbase is seeking a Senior Counsel to join its Commercial Legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for negotiating first-of-their-kind agreements with strategic partners and sophisticated counterparties in the payments and fintech space.Responsibilities
- Negotiate highly-tailored agreements with strategic partners and counterparties
- Drive novel agreement structures and provide practical advice on legal issues and risk
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve problems, build partnerships, and close complex deals quickly
- Develop scaled strategies for addressing risk in business-centric ways
- Serve as a trusted business partner to help build and execute the business's transactional and product roadmap
Requirements
- 7-10+ years of relevant transactional experience in-house or at a leading law firm
Nice to Have
- Experience with Excel and other relevant tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, remote environment
