About the Role
The Senior Customer Success Architect role at Amplitude is a critical position that requires a unique blend of technical expertise and customer-centric skills. As a trusted advisor to Amplitude's customers, you will be responsible for ensuring the success of our clients by providing guidance on data management, analytics, and product taxonomy. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, and Technical Success Managers, to deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.The role entails collaborating with customers to understand their data management needs, identifying opportunities for process improvements, and developing strategic plans to drive customer success. You will also be responsible for maintaining and establishing clean product analytics data, which is critical for our customers to understand and drive their products forward.
What You Will Do
- Serve as a trusted technical hand-on operator for our customers, providing guidance on data management and analytics
- Possess a mastery of Amplitude products to provide strategic benefits to customers in data audit and taxonomy cleanup
- Assist customers in mapping data-flow architecture between Amplitude and upstream sources, such as Segment, mParticle, Snowflake, BigQuery, and RudderStack
- Create playbooks for customers to integrate Amplitude into additional data flows and business processes
- Run deep-dive investigations into data discrepancies and recommend action plans
- Audit existing Amplitude implementations against best practices and produce a scored report with prioritized remediation steps
- Gather, organize, and report trends and customer insights to optimize business processes, documentation, and services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline internal processes and improve data management experiences for customers
- Develop and maintain technical documentation to support customer success
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in a technical, customer-facing data or analytics role
- Competency in programming languages and concepts that underpin modern web and mobile development, such as SQL, JavaScript, Java, Python, Android, iOS, and RESTful APIs
- Working knowledge of CDPs and event pipelines, including Segment, mParticle, and RudderStack
- Familiarity with cloud data warehouses, particularly Snowflake and BigQuery
- Understanding of client-side and server-side SDK instrumentation across web and mobile
- A solid grasp of event taxonomy design and data governance principles
- Ability to collaborate across time zones with onshore architects and account teams
- At least 5 years of customer-facing technical experience with a demonstrated record of successfully engaging with enterprise accounts
- Execution and customer service-oriented, with the ability to effectively prioritize, project manage, and complete customer deliverables on-time and drive outcomes
Nice to Have
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
- Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Certification in data management or analytics, such as Google Analytics or AWS Certified Data Analyst
