The Senior Data Analyst role at CoinGecko is a pivotal position that involves transforming complex organizational challenges into scalable analytical frameworks. This role is designed for a visionary analyst who can blend elite technical execution with the ability to mentor junior talent and champion a culture of data-informed intuition across the company. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to customer success, working closely with the Data Engineering team to define the long-term evolution of the data platform.The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will involve designing and overseeing the implementation of scalable data models and schemas, synthesizing complex analyses into compelling narratives for leadership, and identifying high-value analytical projects that can move the needle on core metrics. The role requires a deep understanding of data analysis, statistical modeling, and the ability to communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What You Will Do
- Design and oversee the implementation of scalable data models and schemas
- Collaborate with Data Engineering to define the long-term evolution of the data platform
- Synthesize complex, multi-layered analyses into compelling narratives and recommendations for leadership
- Identify and scope high-value analytical projects that can drive business growth
- Lead the design and analysis of complex A/B and multivariate tests, ensuring statistical rigor
- Provide clear 'go/no-go' recommendations based on test results
- Standardize analytical workflows, from SQL coding standards to automation of mission-critical reporting suites
- Act as a technical lead and mentor for Associate and Mid-level analysts
- Conduct code reviews and foster professional growth within the team
- Develop and maintain executive-grade dashboard ecosystems in Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
- Ensure all findings are grounded in mathematical truth through deep proficiency in probability, regression modeling, and causal inference
What We Are Looking For
- A minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
- Experience with eCommerce, preferably with specific experience of Shopify
- Mastery of SQL, including window functions and performance tuning
- Experience with modern data stack tools like dbt
- Proven track record of building executive-grade dashboard ecosystems
- Deep proficiency in Python for advanced statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and process automation
- Expert knowledge of probability, regression modeling, and causal inference
- Experience managing the full lifecycle of complex, multi-month projects
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Ability to communicate complex insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
