Senior Data Engineer

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be working on a variety of projects, from designing and developing data warehouses to creating data products that support business growth. What You Will Do

• Design, develop, and maintain data architecture and pipelines that adhere to ETL principles and business goals
• Build and maintain data warehouses in big data solutions, using technologies such as Hadoop or BigQuery
• Create data products that support analytics and data science initiatives, using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
• Develop and maintain databases using a range of technologies, including relational, NoSQL, and cloud databases
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data needs, and to develop solutions that meet those needs
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to develop and implement data-driven solutions
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering, and apply that knowledge to continuously improve the team's processes and solutions
• Mentor and coach junior data engineers, and contribute to the team's knowledge sharing and skill development
• Participate in agile planning and development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Work with the team to develop and maintain data governance and data quality processes

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of experience working in data engineering or architecture roles
• Expertise in SQL and data analysis, with experience working with large datasets
• Experience with at least one programming language, such as Python, Scala, or Java
• Experience developing and maintaining data warehouses in big data solutions
• Experience working with cloud computing services, such as AWS or GCP
• Experience with BI tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data problems and develop creative solutions
• Experience working in an agile environment, with a focus on continuous learning and improvement
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Nice to Have

• Experience working with machine learning, data science, or artificial intelligence technologies
• Experience working with Linux operating systems, or other Unix-like systems
• Experience working with Kafka, or other streaming data technologies
• Experience working with containerization technologies, such as Docker or Kubernetes
• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, such as Snowflake or Redshift
