About the Role
The Senior Data Science Manager for AI Products at Dropbox is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of a major mission. As part of a startup team within the company, you will play a pivotal role in defining and guiding the direction of Dropbox's AI-first journey. You will work closely with top-tier data scientists, contributing significantly to the product organization, and helping to scale this new business.This role is crucial in fostering a data-informed culture and driving real AI/ML impact and execution. The successful candidate will partner directly with the Head of Data Science and leadership in Product, Engineering, and Design to shape the product roadmap and execute mission-critical data science projects for Dash Experience.
What You Will Do
- Manage and scale a high-performing team of data scientists to ensure their continued growth and success.
- Coach and mentor data scientists of varying experiences, ensuring their professional development and contribution to the team's objectives.
- Plan, execute, and deliver a portfolio of mission-critical data science projects for Dash Experience, providing technical leadership in a fast-paced environment.
- Leverage data-driven insights to proactively identify the most impactful opportunities and directly influence product roadmaps and strategies.
- Translate complex data insights into clear implications and recommendations for the business, utilizing excellent communication skills.
- Work with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Design, User Research, and senior executives, to rapidly execute and iterate on product developments.
- Partner with Product Engineers and Data Engineers to build reliable, efficient, and scalable data foundations, tools, and processes to drive long-term growth of AI/ML capabilities.
