About the Role

The Senior Data Scientist role at 5Blue Software is a key position that entails leading a team of data scientists and working with stakeholders to drive business growth through data-driven solutions. As a seasoned data scientist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing complex data models, including credit scoring, risk modeling, and revenue forecasting. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business problems and develop technical solutions.

The role requires a strong understanding of machine learning, including regression, classification, time series, and anomaly detection. You will be working with a range of tools and technologies, including Python, SQL, and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and implement complex data models, including credit scoring, risk modeling, and revenue forecasting
  • Lead a team of data scientists and collaborate with stakeholders to drive business growth
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify business problems and develop technical solutions
  • Design and implement machine learning models using Python, SQL, and cloud platforms
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business problems into technical solutions
  • Develop and maintain large-scale data systems and architectures
  • Work with cloud platforms, including AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Implement data visualization and reporting tools to communicate insights to stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data science
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation of data models and systems

What We Are Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience in data science, with a strong portfolio of financial models
  • English language proficiency at C1 level or above
  • Experience leading a data science team or function
  • Strong knowledge of machine learning, including regression, classification, time series, and anomaly detection
  • Proficient in Python, including pandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost, and statsmodels
  • Experience working with SQL and cloud platforms, including AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Strong understanding of data visualization and reporting tools
  • Experience working with stakeholders to translate business problems into technical solutions
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with MLOps and hands-on experience with cloud platforms
  • Knowledge of data engineering and architecture
  • Experience working with agile development methodologies
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices
  • Certification in data science or a related field
