About the Role
As a Senior Data Scientist for AI Products at Dropbox, you will be part of a new division that is defining the company's AI-first journey. This role is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a significant mission and influence the direction of the company's AI/ML capabilities. You will join a team of top-tier data scientists and become an integral part of the product organization, helping to scale this new business.The role entails partnering directly with leadership across Data Science, Product, Engineering, and Design to shape the product roadmap and foster a data-informed culture. Day-to-day, you will work closely with various stakeholders to identify areas where data science can drive growth and improvement. Your expertise will be crucial in building reliable, efficient, and scalable data foundations, tools, and processes to support the long-term growth of AI/ML capabilities.
What You Will Do
- Partner with Product Engineers and Data Engineers to build the data foundations, tools, and processes needed to drive AI/ML capabilities' long-term growth.
- Leverage data-driven insights to proactively identify the most impactful opportunities and directly influence product roadmaps and strategies.
- Perform exploratory and deep-dive analyses to drive insights and recommendations that inform product decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data science into product development.
- Develop and maintain complex data pipelines and architectures to support AI/ML applications.
- Communicate insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science and machine learning, applying this knowledge to improve processes and outcomes.
- Mentor and guide junior data scientists to help build a strong team.
- Participate in the development of the company's data strategy and ensure its alignment with business objectives.
What We Are Looking For
- A strong background in data science with a focus on AI and machine learning.
- Experience with data analysis, modeling, and visualization tools, including Excel.
- Ability to communicate complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and design.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and machine learning technologies.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a data science role, preferably in a product-focused company.
- Experience with data pipeline development and management.
