Senior Data Scientist, Consumer

What You Will Do

• Develop and maintain large-scale data sets to support business decisions
• Design and implement data models and architectures that support Reddit's evolving needs
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to identify and prioritize data-driven projects
• Conduct complex data analysis and create data visualizations to communicate insights to stakeholders
• Develop and maintain A/B testing frameworks to measure the impact of product changes
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data science
• Lead or participate in the development of predictive models and machine learning algorithms
• Communicate technical results and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the growth of the data science team

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in a data science role, with a focus on consumer data analysis
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with large datasets
• Experience with data modeling and data architecture
• Proficiency in a programming language such as Python, Java, or C++
• Experience with machine learning algorithms and predictive modeling
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas simply
• Experience working in a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams
• Strong understanding of statistics and data analysis principles
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud
• Knowledge of natural language processing and text analysis techniques
• Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
• Certification in data science or a related field
