About the Role

The Senior Data Scientist role at Nift is a hands-on position that requires building and developing machine learning models to drive business growth. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be working closely with the Data Science and Engineering teams to develop scalable models for consumer-based services. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include analyzing large datasets, identifying patterns, and developing a variety of model types. You will also contribute to the improvement and re-design of current models, ensuring they are aligned with business objectives.

The role is ideally based in Israel, but strong candidates from the U.S. will also be considered. You will report to the Data Science Manager and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to translate insights into actionable solutions.

What You Will Do

  • Analyze large datasets to gain insights and identify patterns relevant to modeling objectives
  • Design and develop models using statistical and machine-learning techniques
  • Prepare data required for modeling, including gathering and integrating data from various sources
  • Assess the performance and accuracy of models using appropriate evaluation metrics
  • Fine-tune models to optimize their performance, improve accuracy, and reduce bias or overfitting
  • Provide actionable recommendations to drive business growth
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions
  • Conduct rigorous testing and validation of models to ensure their accuracy, robustness, and reliability
  • Monitor model performance, identify areas of improvement, and continuously refine models based on new data and evolving business needs

What We Are Looking For

  • Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Physics, or a related discipline
  • Strong experience in building and deploying machine learning models
  • Proficiency in data analysis, statistical modeling, and data mining techniques
  • Excellent understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with data visualization tools and techniques
