## What You Will Do - Act as a subject matter expert for data observability, providing technical leadership and guidance to both internal teams and the external community.

- Identify opportunities for events, programs, and community-focused work that establishes trust with practitioners and promotes Datadog's reputation in data observability.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and community leaders.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technological advancements, applying this knowledge to improve Datadog's offerings and community engagement strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align community and product goals, ensuring that Datadog's community efforts are supportive of its product vision.
- Represent Datadog at industry events, conferences, and meetups, promoting its brand and expertise in data observability.
- Experience in data observability, with a strong understanding of concepts such as data quality, lineage, and metadata.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used in data systems, along with strong SQL skills.
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to various audiences.
- Experience in advocacy, developer relations, or a similar role, with a proven track record of creating engaging content and building community trust.
- A strong network within the data engineering and observability community, with the ability to leverage these relationships to promote Datadog.
