About the Role

As a (Senior) DevOps Engineer at Botario, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of infrastructure by building and managing Kubernetes clusters, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring the stability and performance of cloud-based systems. What You Will Do

  • Build and manage Kubernetes clusters to orchestrate containerized applications, ensuring they are scalable and highly available.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab CI to automate development, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to implement and optimize cloud infrastructures that meet the needs of the business.
  • Ensure system stability and performance by proactively monitoring and optimizing system resources, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
  • Contribute to the adoption and improvement of DevOps best practices across teams, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Develop and maintain scripts and tools to automate infrastructure and application deployment.
  • Work with the development team to resolve technical issues and improve the overall quality of the applications.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of infrastructure upgrades and migrations.
  • Document processes and procedures, ensuring that knowledge is shared across the team.
  • Engage in continuous learning to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in DevOps and cloud computing.

What We Are Looking For

  • Extensive experience working with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
  • Solid expertise in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), with experience using tools like GitLab CI.
  • Experience in operating and automating infrastructure, preferably in a cloud environment.
  • Proficiency in version control systems such as Git.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
  • Strong skills in Linux system administration.
  • Optional but advantageous: programming experience in scripting languages like Python.
  • Fluency in both German and English, written and spoken.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a distributed team.
