About the Role

The Senior DevOps Engineer position at Lemon.io is a remote opportunity that allows you to utilize your technical expertise in DevOps to drive innovation and efficiency in a fast-paced startup environment. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of cloud-based systems, leveraging your experience with Azure DevOps, AWS, GCP, or SQL to optimize performance and scalability. Day-to-day, you will collaborate closely with clients who have technical backgrounds, discussing business tasks, justifying decisions, and addressing any issues that arise. You will also work independently, managing your time efficiently to meet project deadlines and expectations.

What You Will Do

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and efficient cloud infrastructure on Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI
  • Ensure the security and compliance of cloud resources, adhering to best practices and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps practices and tools into their workflows
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, providing root cause analysis and recommendations for improvement
  • Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new technologies and tools to enhance the DevOps practice
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for DevOps processes and systems
  • Mentor junior engineers, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance the team's capabilities
  • Work closely with clients to understand their technical needs and deliver tailored solutions

What We Are Looking For

  • 4+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a strong background in cloud computing (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • At least 3 years of experience with Azure DevOps, AWS, GCP, or SQL, and at least 2 commercial projects using Microsoft Azure or Kubernetes
  • Strong technical skills, with the ability to create projects from scratch and a deep understanding of application architecture
  • Experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to discuss technical topics effectively
  • Self-organizational skills, with the ability to work full-time remotely with minimal supervision
  • Reliability and adaptability, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Terraform or other infrastructure as code tools
  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git
