About the Role

The Senior Director Analyst role at Gartner is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional to leverage their expertise in cryptography and encryption to drive research and analysis in data security. As a key member of the team, you will engage with clients to support their most challenging business initiatives, ultimately helping them make informed decisions. What You Will Do

  • Conduct research and analysis on various aspects of cryptography, including encryption, PKI, and post-quantum cryptography
  • Engage with clients to support their most challenging business initiatives, providing strategic recommendations and guidance
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the latest trends and developments in cryptography and encryption
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and prioritize research topics and projects
  • Author and publish research reports, briefings, and other content to support clients' decision-making
  • Present research findings and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and internal stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, applying this knowledge to research and analysis
  • Contribute to the development of new research ideas and projects

What We Are Looking For

  • 12 years of experience in a research or technology-related role, with a focus on cryptography and encryption
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
  • Subject matter familiarity in cryptography and encryption, with a deep understanding of the latest trends and developments
  • Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and maintain a deep understanding of complex technical topics
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and innovation
  • Experience with research reports, briefings, and other content, with the ability to author and publish high-quality content
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills, with the ability to present research findings and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders

Nice to Have

  • Experience with post-quantum cryptography and other emerging trends in cryptography
  • Familiarity with key and certificate management, as well as other aspects of data security
  • Experience with research and analysis in a remote work environment, with a strong ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and engage with clients remotely
  • Strong programming skills, with experience with languages such as C, C++, or Python
