About the Role
As a Senior Director of Enterprise Risk Management at Affirm, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive risk management strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could impact the business. Your expertise in risk management will help Affirm navigate the complex digital landscape and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.The Senior Director of Enterprise Risk Management will report to the Chief Risk Officer and will be responsible for managing a team of risk professionals. You will provide guidance and oversight to ensure that risk management practices are integrated into all aspects of the business. Your leadership skills and ability to communicate complex risk concepts to non-technical stakeholders will be essential in this role.

What You Will Do
- Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could impact the business
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate risk management practices into all aspects of the business
- Provide guidance and oversight to ensure that risk management practices are effective and efficient
- Manage a team of risk professionals and provide coaching and development opportunities
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulators and auditors
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging risks, and provide recommendations for improvement
- Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures
- Conduct regular risk assessments and provide reports to senior management
What We Are Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in risk management, preferably in the financial services industry
- Strong knowledge of risk management principles, practices, and regulatory requirements
- Experience in developing and implementing risk management strategies and frameworks
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex risk concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and provide recommendations
- Experience with risk management tools and technologies, such as risk assessment software and data analytics platforms
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, including anti-money laundering and know-your-customer regulations
- Experience in managing budgets and resources, with a focus on cost-effectiveness and efficiency
Nice to Have
- Experience in digital transformation and the impact of technology on risk management
- Knowledge of cloud-based risk management platforms and tools
- Experience in managing remote teams and working in a remote-first environment
- Certification in risk management, such as the Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation
