About the Role

The Senior Director, Enterprise Software and Growth at Instacart is a highly visible and impact-driven role, responsible for leading the company's enterprise software portfolio, including StorefrontPro, FulfillmentPro, and CarrotAds. This position requires a strategic thinker who can drive business outcomes, manage complex implementations, and foster strong relationships with enterprise retailers. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the grocery industry, as well as experience in software development, sales, and customer success.

As a leader in this role, you will be responsible for setting the strategic agenda for three Director-led teams: Retailer Delivery, Enterprise Architecture & Engineering, and Retailer Success. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Business Development, Product, Engineering, and Data Science, to align roadmaps, operating models, and tooling that reduce complexity and scale outcomes without linear headcount growth.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the development and execution of the enterprise software strategy, aligning with Instacart's overall business goals and objectives
  • Manage a team of Directors, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure their success
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes, including time-to-live, implementation quality, and net revenue retention
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with enterprise retailers, understanding their needs and delivering solutions that meet their expectations
  • Drive the adoption of Instacart's software products, including StorefrontPro, FulfillmentPro, and CarrotAds
  • Work closely with the Business Development team to identify new business opportunities and drive growth
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and metrics to measure the success of the enterprise software portfolio
  • Identify and mitigate risks, developing contingency plans to ensure the success of the business
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and growth

What We Are Looking For

  • 10+ years of experience in software development, sales, or customer success, with a focus on enterprise software and growth
  • Proven track record of driving business outcomes, including revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and implementation quality
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and customer success
  • Strong understanding of the grocery industry, including the challenges and opportunities facing retailers
  • Experience with GTM and Excel, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop strategic plans
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with enterprise retailers and cross-functional teams
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field

Nice to Have

  • Experience with agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban
  • Knowledge of cloud-based technologies, including AWS and Azure
  • Experience with data analytics and business intelligence tools, including Tableau and Power BI
