About the Role

The Senior Director of Real-World Data plays a crucial role in shaping and executing commercial strategies for data and analytic products and services at Premier Inc. This role requires a unique blend of medical expertise, strategic account management skills, product and industry expertise, and an innovative data-driven mindset. As a key member of the team, the Senior Director will work closely with research, innovation, and product teams to inform next-generation solutions and with operations teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, data-driven solutions.

The Senior Director will oversee vendor relationships, external partnerships, and cross-functional collaborations to drive market growth and expand the company's data portfolio. This role will also involve building and leading a team responsible for supporting sustainable growth, with a focus on client retention, sales enablement, and ensuring sustained satisfaction and loyalty through consistent engagement and the delivery of exceptional service and value.

What You Will Do

  • Lead data-focused discussions with clients and internal teams to provide clinical insights and expertise on data-related issues
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company's data products and services
  • Identify, propose, scope, and initiate new data solutions and product offerings
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on data-related matters
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their needs are understood and met
  • Communicate complex data concepts in a clear and accessible manner to various stakeholders
  • Proactively generate data sales by leading sales teams in building account plans, running feasibilities, and creating specific case studies
  • Build and maintain data training and certification programs for the commercial organization
  • Create and conduct demonstrations of the company's applications to showcase the capabilities and value of its data products
  • Collaborate with sales and product teams to tailor demonstrations to the specific needs of potential clients
  • Participate in the development of the company's data strategy, contributing insights based on client interactions and market trends
  • Adapt to evolving business needs, taking on additional responsibilities related to product management or strategic planning as required

What We Are Looking For

  • 10 or more years of applicable experience in a related field
  • Bachelor's degree required, with a preference for advanced degrees in a relevant field
  • MD, PharmD, MSN, or BSN certification preferred
  • Advanced understanding of a variety of healthcare data sources, including EMR, Claims, and Registries
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong technical skills using Microsoft Products, with the ability to develop executive-level presentations
  • Experience with data strategy, evaluation, and enterprise use
  • Ability to guide data strategy and drive business growth
