About the Role
The Senior Director, Technical Programs position at Affirm is a pivotal role that entails leading the Technical Program Management function to enhance the development and operation of Affirm's broad set of financial products. This role reports directly to the VP of Technical Programs and Operations and is responsible for defining, building, and executing company and organization-wide planning, goal setting, cross-functional program delivery, and results tracking. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving large-scale change and transformation across the organization, directly influencing company growth and results.As a senior leader in the Technical Program Management function, the Senior Director will be responsible for leading multiple technical program management teams while driving strategic alignment across Product, Engineering, Information Security, and Analytics senior leadership. This role requires a deep understanding of technical program management, operational maturity, and the ability to scale delivery of great Affirm products.
The Senior Director will be part of a fast-paced environment that values collaboration, adaptability, and a results-driven approach. What You Will Do
- Lead the Technical Program Management function to enhance the development and operation of Affirm's financial products
- Define, build, and execute company and organization-wide planning, goal setting, cross-functional program delivery, and results tracking
- Drive large-scale change and transformation across the organization
- Directly lead and influence the senior leadership team in strategic planning and drive development of company and organization-wide OKRs
- Ensure planning integrates with all functions across Affirm, including Finance, Revenue, and Legal
- Identify opportunities, design and implement robust change management processes, and drive continuous improvement
- Develop scalable frameworks and strengthen organization-wide communication to enhance efficiency
- Lead multiple technical program management teams while driving strategic alignment across Product, Engineering, Information Security, and Analytics senior leadership
- Work with large amounts of data, understand complex systems, influence strategic prioritization, and focus on simplification while tackling complex challenges
- Actively develop and grow key talent as well as evolve the organization as new opportunities arise
