About the Role
The Senior Editor will be a leading voice and part of the leadership team for USA TODAY's social sports website, For The Win. This role requires a digital native who can help the site react to the day's news with a mixture of content formats.Responsibilities
- Write and edit quickly and clearly, with a conversational voice
- Deliver sports and culture news via various channels, including social media and video
- Use metrics to inform story choices and shape beat strategies, including SEO
- Identify top sports stories of the day based on analytics and audience potential
Requirements
- Strong writing, editing, and video production skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with SEO and social media
