About the Role
Join GE Vernova as a Senior Embedded Reliability Engineer, where your expertise will contribute to enhancing the reliability of critical grid automation products.Responsibilities
- Perform reliability modeling and statistical analysis for energy management and protection/control products.
- Develop and execute reliability test plans for hardware and software, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and environmental tests.
- Conduct FMEA, FMECA, and Root Cause Analysis for failure events across embedded systems.
- Collaborate with design and software teams to ensure reliability is prioritized from the conceptual phase through deployment.
- Analyze field data to identify systemic issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with utilities for grid asset performance programs and modernization initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong background in reliability engineering, particularly in embedded systems.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and reliability methodologies.
- Experience with regulatory compliance, including NERC and IEEE standards.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with design for reliability (DfR) practices.
- Experience in predictive maintenance using remote diagnostics.
