About the Role

The Senior Event Marketing Manager role at Sentry is a key position that will spearhead the company's regional event strategy, including its startup program and trade show presence. As a driven leader, you will be responsible for planning and executing a diverse range of hosted, sponsored, and partner events that generate qualified leads, accelerate sales opportunities, and strengthen customer relationships. You will be working closely with the sales teams to identify key accounts and develop tailored marketing strategies that engage prospects effectively.

As a member of the marketing team, you will be reporting to the Events and Field Marketing Lead and will be an integral part of shaping the company's field marketing capabilities. Your expertise in event marketing will help drive pipeline creation and growth of Sentry's regional presence. You will also be collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Product Marketing, Developer Relations, and engineering, to ensure cohesive campaign execution.

Sentry's hybrid work model offers a unique blend of in-office and remote work, with Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays set as in-office anchor days to encourage meaningful collaboration. This role offers the autonomy to shape the regional presence and make a significant impact on the company's growth.

What You Will Do

  • Plan and execute impactful regional event marketing events that generate qualified leads, accelerate sales opportunities, and strengthen customer relationships
  • Own end-to-end trade show and conference logistics, including vendor coordination, budgeting, staffing, metrics tracking, and on-site execution, ensuring high-quality experiences
  • Collaborate closely with sales teams to identify key accounts and develop tailored marketing strategies that engage prospects effectively
  • Provide consistent and clear communication of events programs to all stakeholders, including preparing and maintaining internal and external event planning documents, checklists, on-site schedules, timelines, recommendations, and budget
  • Track and report on event performance metrics and ROI, partnering with internal sales and MOPs teams to optimize future marketing activities
  • Support the creation of compelling event content and messaging in collaboration with Product Marketing
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local companies, community organizations, influencers, and other key stakeholders
  • Work effectively with go-to-market, Developer Relations, Product Marketing, engineering, and product teams to ensure cohesive campaign execution
  • Track all marketing activities and leads diligently in Salesforce
  • Contribute to quarterly planning and alignment with sales targets and business objectives
  • Identify opportunities to improve field marketing processes and tactics

What We Are Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience in B2B field or event marketing, preferably in the technology sector
  • A self-starter who can work independently while also being a collaborative team player
  • Comfortable engaging directly with executives, sales leaders, prospects, and customers
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with event marketing automation platforms and CRM systems, preferably Salesforce
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to track and report on event performance metrics and ROI
  • Ability to think creatively and develop innovative event concepts and marketing strategies

Nice to Have

  • Experience with trade show and conference management, including booth design and logistics
  • Knowledge of the software development and technology industry, with a strong understanding of the trends and challenges facing the sector
  • Experience with event content creation, including video production and social media management
  • Certification in event marketing or a related field, such as CMP or CMM
