About the Role

The Senior Executive Business Partner to the CFO is a pivotal role at Gitlab, tasked with supporting the Chief Financial Officer in their day-to-day operational and administrative needs. This high-trust, high-autonomy position requires someone who can anticipate, shape, and execute tasks with speed and accuracy. As Gitlab moves towards faster, more focused execution and an AI-native operating model, this role will be at the center of that motion.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in executive support, with the ability to work fluidly across various tools, including Google Workspace, Slack, Navan, Zoom, GitLab, and Claude. With Gitlab's commitment to remote work, this role offers the flexibility to work from anywhere in the US, although regular in-person availability in San Francisco, CA, is required.

What You Will Do

  • Support the Chief Financial Officer with day-to-day operational and administrative needs, including scheduling, communications, planning, and execution
  • Maintain regular in-person availability in San Francisco, CA, to support the hands-on nature of executive support
  • Manage complex calendars by vetting requests, prioritizing meetings, and making clear recommendations about tradeoffs to protect the CFO's time
  • Proactively manage inbound requests to the CFO by framing issues, surfacing options, and driving decisions forward
  • Own and continuously improve the leadership cadences across the Office of the CFO, including staff meetings, planning rhythms, and other operating mechanisms
  • Champion accountability and excellence across the EBA team while maintaining active coordination with the Office of the CRO
  • Work closely with the CFO to ensure the Office of the CFO operates with clarity, speed, and discipline
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Gitlab's business, including its products, services, and goals
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to inform business decisions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in executive support or a related field
  • Strong proficiency in Adjust and Excel
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Google Workspace, Slack, Navan, Zoom, GitLab, and Claude
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
