About the Role
The Senior Facilities Sourcing Commodity Manager plays a critical role in supporting and executing the strategic sourcing and category management activities for GE Vernova's facilities category in the Americas. This role requires a deep understanding of the facilities management industry, as well as strong commercial execution and supplier management skills. The successful candidate will partner with internal stakeholders and suppliers to deliver business outcomes across assigned spend areas, ensuring a cohesive regional strategy and driving total cost efficiency reductions.As a key member of the sourcing team, the Senior Facilities Sourcing Commodity Manager will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies, leading corporate sourcing processes, and managing master service agreements and other commercial contracts. This role will also involve monitoring supplier performance, tracking key performance indicators, and driving follow-up actions to support supplier accountability and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in sourcing, procurement, operations, or supply chain management, with a strong background in category management, strategic sourcing, and supplier management. Excellent communication and project management skills are also essential, as the successful candidate will be working closely with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
What You Will Do
- Develop and execute category strategies within the assigned category spend
- Lead corporate sourcing processes end-to-end for defined sourcing initiatives within the assigned category spend
- Partner with internal stakeholders and suppliers to execute sourcing initiatives and deliver service, quality, and cost objectives
- Advise management on ways to drive best practices, measure and track internal performance, and monitor strategy implementation to ensure benefit realization
- Manage master service agreements and other commercial contracts to support business requirements, compliance, and service delivery
- Monitor supplier performance, track key performance indicators, and drive follow-up actions to support supplier accountability and continuous improvement
- Use category and spend analytics to identify sourcing opportunities, performance trends, and areas for cost and process improvement
- Apply sound judgment to resolve complex sourcing and supplier-related issues and provide recommendations to functional and business stakeholders
- Stay informed of industry trends, supply market conditions, and benchmark practices relevant to the assigned category spend
- Collaborate with business unit category management teams to ensure a cohesive regional strategy and coordinate sourcing efforts and policy
What We Are Looking For
- Significant experience in sourcing, procurement, operations, or supply chain management
- Demonstrated experience in category management, strategic sourcing, and supplier management
- Strong experience within facilities or related indirect spend categories
- Demonstrated ability to use judgment to solve complex problems, assess information, and provide sound business recommendations
- Experience working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to deliver sourcing and operational outcomes
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Experience with procurement processes and systems
