About the Role

The Senior Facilities Sourcing Commodity Manager at GE Vernova plays a pivotal role in the company's strategic sourcing and category management efforts, specifically within the facilities category in the Americas. This role is at the forefront of driving business outcomes through strong commercial execution, supplier management, and deep category expertise. Day-to-day responsibilities will include partnering with internal stakeholders and suppliers to deliver service, quality, and cost objectives, as well as advising management on best practices to measure and track internal performance.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute category strategies within the assigned category spend, ensuring alignment with GE Vernova's overall business objectives.
  • Lead corporate sourcing processes end-to-end for defined sourcing initiatives within the assigned category spend, from initial planning to contract negotiation and implementation.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and suppliers to execute sourcing initiatives, focusing on delivering exceptional service levels, quality, and cost objectives.
  • Manage Master Service Agreements and other commercial contracts to support business requirements, compliance, and service delivery within the assigned category spend.
  • Monitor supplier performance, track key performance indicators, and drive follow-up actions to support supplier accountability and continuous improvement within the assigned category spend.
  • Utilize category and spend analytics to identify sourcing opportunities, performance trends, and areas for cost and process improvement within the assigned category spend.
  • Apply sound judgment to resolve complex sourcing and supplier-related issues and provide recommendations to functional and business stakeholders.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, supply market conditions, and benchmark practices relevant to the assigned category spend, continuously updating strategies to reflect the latest insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Business Unit Category Management teams, to ensure a cohesive regional strategy and coordinate sourcing efforts and policy.
  • Execute initiatives that drive total cost efficiency reductions while delivering excellent service levels to the organization.

What We Are Looking For

  • Significant experience in Sourcing, Procurement, Operations, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience, with a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in category management, strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation, particularly within facilities or related indirect spend categories.
  • Strong ability to use judgment to solve complex problems, assess information, and provide sound business recommendations.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to deliver sourcing and operational outcomes.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with significant experience in job family group/function), or equivalent experience/knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Excel, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and present findings in a clear, actionable manner.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships effectively.
