About the Role

The Senior Financial Analyst role at Plaid is a critical position that will play a key part in driving the company's financial planning and analysis efforts. What You Will Do

  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to drive business planning and analysis efforts
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and make recommendations to senior leaders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial planning and analysis efforts
  • Develop and maintain financial reports and dashboards to support business decision-making
  • Conduct variance analysis and identify areas for cost savings and process improvements
  • Develop and maintain financial forecasts and budgets to support business planning efforts
  • Collaborate with the Accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning efforts
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the financial services industry
  • Make presentations to senior leaders and other stakeholders on financial results and analysis
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in financial planning and analysis

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in the tech industry
  • Advanced Excel skills, including experience with financial modeling and data analysis
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and financial reporting requirements
  • Experience with financial planning and analysis software, such as Pigment, Adaptive, or Anaplan
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and drive business outcomes
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to work independently and think critically, with a strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy and quality
  • Strong business partnership skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive business outcomes
  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI, is a plus
  • Familiarity with AI, automation, and process-improvement principles is desirable

  • Experience with machine learning or predictive analytics is a plus

  • Experience with cloud-based financial planning and analysis software is a plus
