Senior FinCrime Product Owner

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the financial crime industry, a passion for innovation, and a proven track record of building and delivering complex products from scratch. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, and compliance, to ensure the product meets the highest standards of quality and regulatory requirements.

What You Will Do

• Develop and implement a comprehensive product strategy to combat financial crime and fraud
• Lead the development of a robust and innovative FinCrime platform
• Hire and manage a team of talented professionals to deliver the product roadmap
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product meets regulatory requirements and quality standards
• Conduct market research and analysis to stay ahead of emerging trends and technologies
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators, law enforcement, and industry partners
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with financial crime and fraud
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and emerging technologies, such as machine learning and artificial intelligence
• Develop and manage product budgets and resource allocation plans
• Communicate product vision and strategy to internal and external stakeholders

What We Are Looking For

• Experience building products to prevent and detect financial crime and fraud
• Experience working in a high-growth startup or FinTech environment
• 2+ years of experience working on technical products, such as platforms, distributed systems, data science, machine learning, computer vision, embedded systems, or robotics
• Experience developing products from zero to first release and beyond
• Professional qualification from an internationally recognized body, such as ICA or ACAMS
• Deep knowledge of the UK and EU regulatory environment and key financial crime regimes
• Experience working with crypto compliance tools, such as Chainalysis or Elliptic
• Strong data analytics capability to extract insights from large datasets and translate them into product strategy and decision-making

Nice to Have

• Experience working with agile development methodologies
• Knowledge of cloud-based technologies, such as AWS or Azure
• Experience with DevOps tools, such as Jenkins or Docker
• Familiarity with machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies
• Experience working with remote teams and collaborating virtually
