About the Role

Sanctuary Computer is seeking a skilled Senior Frontend Developer to join their team. As a Senior Frontend Developer, you will be responsible for building elegant, performant, and visually stunning web experiences for a diverse range of clients. You will collaborate with the Technical Lead to meet clients' development needs and work on a variety of projects, from immersive brand websites to complex web applications.

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and technical excellence, with experience working on pixel-perfect websites using modern frontend frameworks. You will be working on a contract basis, with a focus on West Coast candidates, particularly those in the Pacific Time zone.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with the Technical Lead to meet clients' development needs
  • Build and maintain high-performance web applications with modern frontend frameworks and tools
  • Implement responsive, accessible, and pixel-perfect user interfaces based on design specifications
  • Integrate frontend applications with headless CMS platforms, APIs, and third-party services
  • Optimize application performance, including bundle size, load times, and runtime efficiency
  • Work on a variety of client projects, including immersive brand websites and complex web applications
  • Collaborate with the team to find cost-effective, high-quality, pragmatic solutions to complex problems
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the codebase
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in frontend technologies and best practices

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience working with modern frontend frameworks, such as React or Angular
  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with responsive and accessible web design
  • Knowledge of frontend build tools, such as Webpack or Rollup
  • Familiarity with headless CMS platforms and APIs
  • Experience with version control systems, such as Git
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience working on complex web applications

Nice to Have

  • Experience with state management libraries, such as Redux or MobX
  • Knowledge of TypeScript or other static type systems
  • Familiarity with containerization using Docker
  • Experience with continuous integration and deployment pipelines
