Job Description

About the Role

The Senior Frontend Engineer position at Feedzai is a pivotal role that focuses on developing and maintaining the company's micro-frontend architecture. This involves collaborating closely with product engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and routing of various applications within the Feedzai product suite. The successful candidate will be part of the Studio team, which is responsible for the foundation that enables Feedzai to disrupt the financial crime industry with speed and consistency.

As a senior member of the team, you will have the opportunity to work on complex technical challenges, including building distributed systems, solving UI/UX problems, and designing extensive databases. Your primary customers will be fellow engineers and product teams, and you will be expected to provide a robust, cloud-first, and flexible micro-frontend host that enables product teams to focus on solving complex financial risk problems.

The role requires a deep understanding of modern JavaScript, HTML5, and advanced architecture patterns, as well as experience with React and other frontend frameworks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science and a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.

What You Will Do

  • Architect and build a highly scalable and performant micro-frontend architecture that serves as the host environment for all Feedzai products
  • Collaborate closely with Product Engineering teams to translate their standalone modules into a unified application, ensuring seamless integration and routing
  • Write clear, comprehensive documentation and create tooling that makes it easy for product teams to plug their micro-frontends into the Studio shell
  • Implement rigorous testing strategies to ensure zero regressions in the host environment and shared dependencies
  • Act as a consultant for product teams, helping them solve complex integration issues and gathering feedback to iterate on the Studio platform
  • Have an active role in decisions regarding the frontend architecture and the long-term roadmap of the Studio project
  • Develop and maintain extensive databases, including relational, NoSQL, and graph databases
  • Solve UI/UX problems to help fraud analysts fight fraud more efficiently
  • Design and develop new data science techniques and algorithms
  • Work closely with the Data Science team to integrate machine learning models into the product
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure that the codebase is maintainable, efficient, and follows best practices

What We Are Looking For

  • BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science or a similar technical degree
  • 4+ years of experience in modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and advanced architecture patterns
  • Deep experience with React and other frontend frameworks
  • Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns
  • Experience with cloud-first and flexible micro-frontend hosts
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems into manageable components
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Passion for delivering exceptional user experiences and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies

  • Experience with machine learning and data science techniques
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git
