Job Description

About the Role

MicroVentures is on the lookout for a Senior Full Stack Developer to enhance their engineering team, working remotely from Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and maintain comprehensive functionalities using PHP 8.4 and Laravel 12.x.
  • Build and consume RESTful APIs for both internal and external applications.
  • Create responsive UI designs using wireframes and mockups with Vue.js 2.x+ and TailwindCSS.
  • Implement real-time features using technologies like WebSockets and Laravel Broadcasting.
  • Optimize and design database schemas particularly in MySQL and manage DynamoDB as necessary.
  • Oversee AWS infrastructure including RDS, Lambda, and CloudWatch services.
  • Maintain CI/CD pipelines utilizing CodeBuild and CodePipeline.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews to uphold team standards and coding practices.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams for feature development and refinement.
  • Document workflows, APIs, architecture decisions, and technical standards.
  • Mentor mid-level developers and contribute to shared knowledge.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional software development experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with Laravel/PHP frameworks.
  • 4+ years of experience with Vue.js.
  • Proficiency in PHP 8.x, unit testing, and RESTful API design.
  • Strong understanding of MySQL schema design and migrations.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases and AWS services.
  • Solid grasp of Git workflows and code review processes.

Nice to Have

  • Proficiency in TypeScript.
  • Familiarity with Docker for containerization.
  • Experience with logging and monitoring tools like CloudWatch.
