What You Will Do
- Build and ship customer-facing product experiences that meet high standards of quality, performance, and user experience.
- Deliver polished features across both frontend and backend, ensuring reliability, accessibility, and performance.
- Own work end-to-end, from discovery and technical design through implementation, testing, release, and iteration.
- Leverage AI to enhance productivity and quality outcomes without losing sight of maintainability and performance.
- Collaborate effectively with product and design teams to deliver outcomes that meet customer needs.
- Communicate clearly and effectively in a remote team environment, using tools like Slack and Linear.
- Support the team through mentoring and feedback, helping more junior engineers to level up.
- Participate in code reviews, contributing to a healthy codebase through thoughtful refactoring and reducing tech debt.
- Stay current with AI-enabled coding approaches and apply them creatively to all aspects of work.
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of professional experience as a developer, with strong experience in building production web applications (preferably with React and Typescript).
- Solid fundamentals in modern frontend engineering, including state management, performance, and testing.
- Experience working with APIs (preferably GraphQL) and relational databases (preferably Postgres).
- Experience with defining and operating production infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of AI coding tools and approaches, and the ability to apply them effectively.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team.
- A growth mindset, with a desire to learn new techniques and stay current with industry developments.
Nice to Have
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of security best practices and how to implement them in a production environment.
